Read pp.12-14, be ready to speak about synthetic and analytical languages, parts of speech in English, and parts of the sentence. Read pp. 83-85 The Present Indefinite Tense. Be ready to speak about formation and use of the tense.

2) Download the file called Kobrina English Grammar here
Read pp.18-22 (Present Simple Tense) paragraphs 16-19. Be ready to summarize the information.
